Daniel Finds His Walking Stick is a collage of memories from a man suffering from Alzheimer's. It is a funny and sad portrait of the plight of an aging lonely man in a changing world. Genres: Comedy, Drama, Senior/Aging, Dramedy Contact: Gary Hebert Director's Biography: Gary Hebert debuts his short film, Daniel Finds His Walking Stick, an animated dark comedy about aging with Alzheimer's. His first short film, Bird Fan, premiered at the Vail Film Festival in 2007. Gary has worked in film in various capacities but primarily as a title designer and animator in Los Angeles. His credits include Bourne Ultimatum, The Kingdom, Cloverfield, and Van Helsing. Gary made his first film, a stop motion claymation short, at the age of ten.

Jeremy decided to explore these questions through the medium of film and his acclaimed new documentary, The Day After Peace, follows his 10-year journey to establish a day of peace. In 1999, Jeremy founded Peace One Day, a non-profit organisation, and in 2001 Peace One Day's efforts were rewarded when the member states of the United Nations unanimously adopted the first-ever day of global ceasefire and non-violence on 21 September annually - Peace Day. As a direct outcome of Peace One Day's campaigning in 2007/8, parties in Afghanistan recognized Peace Day resulting in UNICEF, W.H.O, UNAMA and others vaccinating 3.2 million Afghanistan children against polio. In 2007 over 100 million people in 192 countries were engaged in Peace Day activities and in 14 of those countries, efforts were targeted towards providing life-saving activities and medical services on the Day. Filmmaker Jeremy Gilley will be in DC from March 3rd to the 6th.

An award winning short that recounts the life of a lone businessman who comes to terms with his own demise in the face of humanity's mysterious suicide. As a young filmmaker he has had an eclectic career working in and around television and film sets. He's worked in the pre-production realm of the entertainment industry producing reality television for small companies based in San Diego and for larger corporations such as MTV in Los Angeles. Chris has shot video and film in a variety of locales from exotic beaches in the Bahamas to space shuttle launches in Florida and have even camera operated on 70mm productions. Finally, he’s spent long hours in front of computers in post-production facilities working for companies that produce corporate, commercial, and educational videos. Chris believes the more people who touch a project the richer the final product becomes. And it's the people he's met and the experiences he's gained along the way that make him a successful director. The creative stuff is the easy part.
