Director's Biography:
KARA BACA SACHS is a director, writer, actor, film maker, lyricist, and choreographer. She is a native New Mexican with Hispanic and Native American roots. She lived in Los Angeles for 12 years and New York for 8, working in the entertainment industry. She now resides in Santa Fe where she continues to develop new work. She is one of 7 Directors supported by the State for the NM Filmmakers Program, and is in the process of completing her film directing debut, MILAGROS (*submission for 2009 Festival.) Kara studied writing and directing at AFI, studied acting for 15 years, and is a lassically trained dancer. She was a founding member of the award winning "On Stage Theater Co." in Los Angeles, where she wrote and directed original works for 6 years.
