Article VI: Faith, Politics, America
Bryan Hall 2008
Categories: Documentary, Searching for a Higher Power - Religion
2 pictures Pictures
Run time: 90 min. | USA | color | Film Format: Shooting - DV; Screening - Betacam SP
Article VI examines the intensely divisive - - and sometimes bigoted - - role of religion in contemporary American politics. The film ranges from shockingly angry man-on-street interviews to moments of compassion and understanding as the camera examines the conflict inherent in the interplay of religion and politics, especially as that conflict has escalated during the last two decades.

Director's Biography:
Independent Filmmaker Bryan Hall rejected the traditional Hollywood formula to create his own company, Living Biography, Media. Hall needed freedom to explore the individuals and issues shaping the conversations of the nation and be free to turn those conversations into a compelling film. Hall has been doing so with great success for the past four years. He released his first feature-length documentary, "Traffic Control: The People's War on Internet Porn" in February of 2007. Independent filmmaker Jack Donaldson (has a PhD in Ecology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison) took the harder-to-travel Indy route for his filmmaking career knowing that Hollywood wasn't interested in the substantive topics that he thought would capture the attention of the rest of America. In doing so, Donaldson joined his friend and co-director Bryan Hall on a cross-country odyssey to shoot Living Biography Media’s documentary "Article VI: Faith, Politics, America". Donaldson and Hall have collaborated on several projects in the past including: film, music, stage, and humanitarian work. This is his first feature-length project; however, he brings to the team many years of industry leadership experience, as well as artistic talent and knowledge. With his extensive research experience, Donaldson ensures that the stories told by Living Biography are accurate and relevant. Above all, he is a true humanitarian at his core.
